Submission Requirements - 2008
- Application Form.
- Nomination/endorsement letter from Department Chair (must be
different than other recommendation letters).
- 3- Letters of recommendation -
• Employer letter of recommendation;
• Faculty letter of recommendation; and
• Personal letter of recommendation addressing
applicant's character and maturity.
- Narrative outlining the study program. This should not exceed
8 pages including illustrations. It should include a timeline,
travel schedule and a list of industry contacts. The program should
focus on a study topic that allows the recipient to compare systems,
methodologies and/or construction approaches. The essay should
convince the selection committee that the student's independent
research ideas are laudable and able to be accomplished in the
6 to 9 month time frame that is available. The narrative should
help the selection committee see student's interests and
how the profession and student might benefit from the fellowship's
funding. The narrative is to be entirely the applicant's
work.
- A resume/curriculum vitae not to exceed three pages summarizing
the applicant's academic and work experience; it can include
samples, illustrations or summaries of relevant project activities.
- Executed Letter of Intent
NOTE: all elements of the submittal are to be in hard copy -
nothing in electronic format. Materials provided should be shipped
to assure safe arrival. The submission must be received at the ACCE
office in San Antonio, Texas on or before Monday, January 7, 2008.
All material will remain the property of ACCE.
No materials will be returned to the applicant. |
